Greenpeace Australia Pacific is the regional office of Greenpeace, an independent global campaigning organization that acts to change attitudes and behavior, to protect and conserve the environment, and to promote peace. It focuses on issues such as climate change, deforestation, overfishing, commercial whaling, genetic engineering, and anti-nuclear issues. The organization uses direct action, lobbying, research, and ecotage to achieve its goals.
