    Indispensable tool, with outstanding support.

While bad news travels fast, good reviews are few and far between. Today, is one of those days I felt the need to give thanks, in whatever small way. This is a positive review of one of the tools in our armoury -ManageWP. Totally unsolicited. I have been managing computer systems, mainframes and medium computers, since 1983.. Since then, the quest has always been to find tools that make the job easier. Fast forward to 2010 and I was looking for something to manage hundreds of WordPress installations, for our MSP clients. I stumbled upon ManageWP around 2010, and found it to be extremely useful. A few years later they dramatically changed the user interface, and introduced what seemed to be complicated pricing. Old dogs don't like to perform new tricks, so thoughts turned to dumping it, almost. After a while, the new interface proved much better, and once you understand the pricing model, it makes perfect cents. Pun intended. We continued happily, until around 2016 when acquired by GoDaddy. Horrors. I personally did not like the ethics of that brand. Again, we were going to walk away, but during the time of looking for an alternative, nothing much changed regarding ManageWP. The same team in Serbia, still seemed to be holding the reigns, and service continued as usual. Excellent at that. With hindsight, it seems that the GoDaddy financial backing proved beneficial, and did not adversely affect the product. We stayed. Today, as I sit here, I can honestly say that my day would be completely different, without ManageWP. I quite easily maintain 58 of my personal projects, with absolute ease. It takes just a minutes in a day, to monitor, update and keep everything running smoothly. Without ManageWP, I would easily have to add HOURS to my daily maintenance routine. Then there is the support.... My background as a Managed Services Provider, over the last 40 years, allows me to easily evaluate good support. There is a team of passionate people in Serbia, that look after this product. That passion translates into EXCELLENT support. The interaction in the tickets, clearly indicates that there are good, caring people, that support department. I can count on one hand, the products and services I would regard as having faultless support. ManageWP is one of those five. Kudos to the support team at ManageWP. Job well done! I hope this positive review helps others out there, make the right choice, when it comes to managing WordPress installations. More power to you, Herby

It is a pretty good tool for managing…

It is a pretty good tool for managing multiple WP installations but it is so cumbersome that it really grinds on me sometimes. Every time you login it performs a sync of sites... So this takes minutes... So I go and do something else... 9/10 I forget and come back to the tab about an hour later... and the session has expired so it logs in again and ... starts the sync all over again... I spend 90% of the time in this app just waiting to interact with it... 10% actually interacting... Could be better.

makes managing wordpress very easys. UI could be updated

nice product. good pricing model an absolut must have for every wordpress builder. i love using it every day and its THE entrypoint for all your wordpress installations. one thing tho: the web UI has some bugs an glichtes and could use an update for sure. but on the other hand i've seen much worse and most of the time, everything works flawless.

    An absolute "must have"

I have used ManageWP for many years and I maintain the updates of 98 websites through this service. Updating plugins and themes takes minutes. Instead of relying on unpredictable automated updates, I can initiate them when I have time to take care of any problems. The backup and restore feature also works like a charm. But most impressive is the customer service. I usually get an answer within minutes or a couple of hours. They are knowledgeable and always ready to help. The low monthly fee is absolutely worth it!

    WHAT?

WHAT?? This service is joke, they charge every month and when I want to make a restore, it start glitching, bugging, when it's 85% then it jump back to 83%, then to 79% and download says - currently at 250 MB/520 MB and then 166/520 MB, .. very unreliable, I would sue them

  6. Capt Obvious
Terrible customer support, takes months or years to reply.

When I first started using ManageWP many years ago I thought it was great.... but over the years my opinion has changed. The support is pretty awful... the support team do not seem to really know how their own product works and you end up having to explain it to them, and they try to get you to do all the troubleshooting and solve the problem yourself. If they cannot solve the issue, they tend to just start ignoring you and then if you persist it gets referred to the developers, and then that's the end of the road, as you will never ever get any response from the developers. I have one ticket that has dragged on for 18 months now and another for 5 months, still waiting for a reply, and all I get is "we are waiting for a response from the developers". ManageWP has had no updates or new features or even bug fixes that I have seen, nothing has improved in the years I have been using it. So it's not like the developers are busy. ManageWP was taken over by GoDaddy a few years ago, which has no doubt made things worse, as GoDaddy is a terrible company with a reputation for diabolical and incompetent support. Currently looking at moving to MainWP Update 2024: I moved to WPUmbrella

    Saves lots of time!!

Luckily I found ManageWP. It's one of the great platforms for managing dozens of WordPress websites. It's saving my time, and I work on my website and client's website from one place. I highly recommend it to everyone who runs a Digital Agency. Thanks, ManageWP
