Ich finde das dezentralisierte Konzept von Mastodon äußerst interessant, allerdings muss es eben erst noch zeigen, dass es technologisch, ökonomisch und vor allem regulatorisch auch wirklich zukunftsfähig ist.

Terrible company
Terrible company. They will close your account on a whim without a credible reason. A friend of mine was promoting their Ai artwork and they suspended their account saying it wasn’t correctly attributed “Content created by others must be attributed, and use of generative AI must be disclosed” - even though it clearly had an #aiart hashtag on every single post. Also, the algorithm is terrible and you’ll be lucky if anything is seen outside of your followers. Move to Bluesky - that’s the place to be now.

Horrible social media platform
Horrible social media platform. They banned my account as a spam because i posted a motivational quote with a url on it. Very strict policy. Mastodon has nothing to do with the freedom of speech on the web!

La libertà è solo una parola
Provato ad aprire un profilo di divulgazione della psicologia su mastodon.uno (l'istanza italiana principale). Me ne sono andato dopo 3 giorni perché gli amministratovi costringono a utilizzare gli hashtag come vogliono loro. Faccio un esempio: citavo ricerche internazionali (perché è così che la scienza funziona) usando l'hastag "italia" per promuoverle sul territorio italiano. Mi hanno impedito di farlo con la motivazione "eh ma sono ricerche americane, non c'entrano niente con l'italia". Intanto approvavano post di persone che parlavano di vini e pomodori con l'hashtag "italia". Menomale doveva essere un social libero e decentralizzato. Con i gestori delle varie istanze che ti dicono cosa puoi o non puoi fare a discrezione di quello che credono loro è molto meno libero di twitter, facebook o instagram. Non vale la libertà di pensiero.

Super site rien à voir avec reddit,qui est un réseau d'arnaque et de propagande. Rien à voir avec twiter qui fait l'arnaque de l'abonnement.Mastodon est un site et aussi un résau social libre espérons,qu'il y restera longtemps.
