    Unethical billing practices

I signed up for a business plan trial, and was literally unable to cancel it before I got charged the monthly fee. I tried to contact support button on miro.com and would only get AI responses that would direct me to an FAQ page and wouldn't connect me to a person. The FAQ page would say to go to the billing tab, but there was no billing tab (of course this showed up after I was charged the fee I had been trying to prevent). I got a reminder email a couple of days before my subscription fee that included a link to the billing page where it said I could cancel prior to the charge, and the link was broken. I tried responding to that email since the "contact support" button hadn't worked and no one responded. Finally, after I was charged I was told I could email a different billing requests email (which I could not find prior to being charged). I emailed them and they refused to give a refund after going back and forth several times (they kept sending generic form letters about cancelling the subscription). I will be disputing the charge with my credit card. Never sign up for a "free" trial with Miro.

    That's an incredible platform

That's an incredible platform, use it almost every day for teaching my students. There are a lot of functions that provide the super convenient way to study languages and keep everything in one place (on one board).

    I tried a subscription

I tried a subscription, but within a few hours, I decided the software wasn't for me. I am not judging the software; I just decided it's not for me. I contacted Miro support twice to ask if a refund is possible. I didn't expect a refund, but I did expect a response. On neither occasion did Miro respond to my support request. Failure to respond to support requests is disgraceful these days. The only conclusion I can draw is that Miro is not interested in its customers; therefore, it deserves a 1-star rating.

    Hotel California

Hotel California. Once you sign up, you can't leave. They've just taken ÂŁ93 from my account for a subscription I'm not using, despite me desperately trying for 30 minutes last night to cancel my subscription. You can't even find an email address for them to complain. Disgusting. Shame because the software isn't bad. I'd give that 3.5 stars.

i couldn't remember the mail i used. so i tried one. it wouldn't let me try another until i set up a whole account with the new email. even if i closed the browser.

    Abusive pricing plans

If possible, I would recommend using a different product. They add numerous additional charges to your annual subscription without notifying you or obtaining your consent, which is essentially misleading customers. Moreover, their customer support is very poor. Figma offers a better solution compared to Miro.

Abusive billing practices - but cool software

Cool software, but they have abusive billing practices. It's very hard to select the lowest tier. Once you get the business plan, you cannot downgrade without writing to support. Then support is very unhelpful. So I guess you just overpay until you eventually cancel out of frustration.

    The worst customer support

You’ll be thrilled until something goes wrong. And when it does, no one will help you — at all. You’ll get a copy-paste email with the same generic recommendations and be reassured that you’re the only idiot with this issue, which means no one will bother dealing with you. After that, you can curse them out, plead, beg, or demand — it doesn’t matter; Miro has no customer support whatsoever. If you’re lucky, the issue might get resolved somehow, someday... But with every new update, there will be another problem, and once again, you’ll be the only one to report it, which means they’ll just tell you to "go to hell."

Miro Is a Complete Scam – Stay Far Away!

Miro is by far the most fraudulent, unethical company I’ve ever dealt with. I deleted my account because I no longer wanted to use their service, yet they had the audacity to charge my card for a subscription renewal AFTER my account was gone. How is it even legal to charge someone for a service they can’t access because the account no longer exists? It’s blatant theft. They took my money without consent and are now dragging their feet instead of issuing a refund. Their business practices are shady, their customer support is a joke, and their platform is NOT worth the headache. There are plenty of better tools out there from companies that won’t steal your money. Save yourself the frustration, time, and money – don’t trust Miro. This is the kind of company that will take your money even after you’ve explicitly cut ties with them. Disgraceful and predatory.
