Interesting reading these reviews
Interesting reading these reviews. I was thinking of joining the birdwatch but then I asked why there wants info on how well birds are doing. When our skies are being constantly sprayed blocking out the sun and spraying heavy metal killing flies butterfly and bee's my only thoughts is they are Interesting in seeing how many birds are depleting thanks to their spraying. I won't be joining I'll just be feeding and taking care of my birds my way.

Closure of Rainham Marshes.…
The RSPB have to be one of the UKs worst run charities. Far from protecting the birds 10%of profits go to tiger conservation whilst their “non-politics” stance means they do nothing about the millions of migratory birds killed in France, Italy, Malta or Egypt. They have zero concern for their members - as their recent decision to close RSPB Rainham Marshes (first the shop then the community cafe and soon the actual reserve) as well as RSPB Rye Meads. It is truly shocking that a charity, with millions of pounds in profit, can close key reserves near London, shows no consideration for its members and therefore has very little interest in nature conservation. This is a terrible shame for which poor management must be held responsible

Not impressed
Been a member for a while, happy to pay a direct debit and get the magazine. Dont like them using a third party marketing company to phone and push for increased monthy contribution. Shabby. Cancelled my Subsciption. Don't like people releasing my name and number.

The people who work for this chariy, have no manners.
I kindly offered some water colour paintings to them as a gift. My late husband painted them. I phoned and spoke to a guy, he said he would ask the women concerned and she would give me a call. She never did.. she just told the guy to tell she did not want them. She would not be bothered to even say thank you for the offer. I was leaving a legacy in my will, this will not happen now. I see most reviews are just 1 star aswell.

"Lost the Plot"
...just catching up on the Coquet Island debacle!!! Utterly heart-breaking for Dr Paul Morrison. Those responsible should be sacked immediately. There is no place for witch-hunts and 'kangaroo-courts' within such a formerly respected institution. They need to concentrate on improving the state of our bird-life...which; in absolute terms; they have singularly failed to do over the last 75 years! former member, Chris Potter

Coquet island injustice
I worked on Coquet island Paul morrison Is a wonderful human. The place owes its bird sucvess to him . He Treated Ibrahim Afawi with great kindness and generosity. All the he while scheming paul Morrisons demise. The CEO. Turned in Paul and all the volunteers with unfounded allegations and untruths. No one should volunteer while this ceo is still in office. Its a disgrace how these people were treated. Happy for anyone to contact me about this. J Ward coquet island . Will never work for rspb again till a reshuffle is done.

What a nightmare…
I ordered two rose bushes to support the RSPB. Only one arrived. I wrote and was told that one must have been ‘lost’ in transit. Another would be sent. It wasn’t. I wrote again to be told that the product I had ordered was now ‘out of stock’. I was offfered a refund. I accepted. Several weeks later two rose bushes arrived. I contacted customer service and after many, many emails it was concluded that they would be collected. I was then advised that I would have to stay at home on the day of the expected pickup (which I have absolutely no intention of doing). It seems I am to give up my time to rectify their mistakes. No way. I have advised that the roses are in my driveway for their collection (in the meantime I’m off on holiday). What an organisation. Take care if buying from them.

“Protection” of birds - just not any that are injured or need help!
Title of the charity is a misnomer. Found a seagull with a broken and bloodied wing in Cardiff who couldn’t fly and was in distress, it was so sad. RSPB apparently “don’t have the expertise or facilities to rescue birds or to provide advice or help with the welfare of individual wild animals or pets”. Not even advice! Wow the birds are lucky to have you.

An absolute waste of time!
An absolute waste of time! You phone them up if you spot an injured Animal, and have to talk and have to deal with some dumb idiot! and they do absolutely nothing but ask a load of Stupid questions and waste you're time! Not only that, you have to wait hours on end for them to even come out even if they actually do! Funny how their on the ball if a donation is given or you pay them as a member, yeah that says it all! Don't bother ringing or getting in contact with this Useless Company, or the RSPCA, their Tossers. We'll rescue the Animals ourselves!
