    Extortionate subscription increase

I do like the content especially the comments, but £244 increase for a subscription is a deal breaker for me I'm afraid!

    DO NOT SIGN UP

DO NOT SIGN UP! They make it impossible to cancel your subscription. They advise to phone a number to cancel and you are placed on permanent hold. Total scam artists.

    Rip off

Rip off, don’t subscribe ! It’s very difficult to unsubscribe for example not doable online and no one answers the customer helpline. The service is comparable to a rip off scam.

    Retrograde new puzzles section

I have been a Telegraph subscriber for more than 20 years and object to paying extra for puzzle. The new puzzles layout is inferior to the original layout. ‘If it ain’t broke don’t fix it “

    Poor and offensive sports journalism

Poor and offensive sports journalism, boarding on ‘story telling’ rather than factual writing. Scary that this publication allows this behaviour.

My £39 annual subscription with the…

My £39 annual subscription with the Daily Telegraph is due to expire very soon, they have sent me a reminder stating that the renewal fee will be £199. I have had very annoying experiences in the past from this company and unfortunately there is no 'cancel my account' button, instead they insist I call 03309 127113 and speak to a 'member of our friendly team'. I don't want to call them, I simply want to cancel the account. I've spoken to their 'friendly team' in the past, trying to cancel a previous account, and was bombarded with special offers via email and requests to call them, they don't take no for an answer. The expiring £39 subscription wasn't worth the money, I don't like paying good money to be served up with what I consider to be crude propaganda, the ranting of warmongers, vulgar jingoism and disinformation. I have seen that others in this Trustpilot Telegraph thread have had money taken from their account - and it is difficult to get it back. It must be against consumer law to operate in this fashion, they need to put a "I want to cancel this account immediately" box in the subscriptions section of the online 'My Account' details. I do not have a recurring subscription and if they take this money without my agreement there will be some awkwardness to follow.

Do not be tempted to sign up for a free trial - - it is incredibly difficult to cancel, the customer service staff are atrocious and you will end up both extremely frustrated and significantly out of pocket. The level of complexity associated with the cancellation process is such that TMG appear to be actively trying to make it as difficult as possible to walk away. Borderline scam operation.

Great price at £1 pm, but poor journalism

    Shoddy, second rate company.

I am still eating for a refund of £247 for a cancelled subscription taken out of my account 03/03/25. They have admitted that they are at fault. I am a pensioner and it’s a lot of money. Second rate, shoddy and completely disrespectful to customers.
