Wiki Loves Africa is an annual international photographic competition held every February and March, where participants across Africa contribute media (photographs, video and audio) about their environment on Wikimedia Commons for use on Wikipedia and other project websites of the Wikimedia Foundation. The competition encourages the documentation of Africa's rich cultural heritage, traditions, and daily life, aiming to bridge the content gap about Africa on Wikipedia.
