Structure
The African Union is made up of both political and administrative bodies. Other key structures include the Executive Council, the Pan-African Parliament, the African Court of Justice, and the Commission.
Achievements
Since its establishment, the AU has played a significant role in promoting peace, security, and stability on the continent, including the establishment of the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA), the adoption of Agenda 2063 as a strategic framework for the socio-economic transformation of the continent over the next 50 years, and the launch of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to boost intra-African trade.
