Reach Out and Read, a national nonprofit, serves more than 4.6 million children a year across the U.S. We use guidance from clinicians about shared reading and healthy early relationships to empower children, families, and communities.

Reach Out and Read is a nonprofit organization that gives young children a foundation for success by incorporating books into pediatric care and encouraging families to read aloud together. The program focuses on children from birth to 5 years old, especially those growing up in poverty, by providing them with books and guidance to parents about the importance of reading aloud.
