Mission

The mission of the United States Conference of Mayors is to promote the development of effective national urban/suburban policy, strengthen federal-city relationships, ensure that federal policy meets urban needs, provide mayors with leadership and management tools, and create a forum in which mayors can share ideas and information.

Membership

The USCM is composed of mayors from cities with populations of 30,000 or more. Each city is represented in the Conference by its chief elected official, the mayor.

Annual Meeting

The USCM holds an Annual Meeting each June in a different U.S. city, where mayors gather to discuss and set the organization's policy agenda.

Winter Meeting

A Winter Meeting is also held each January in Washington, D.C., focusing on federal-city relations and legislative priorities.
